Foundations of Roots & Remedies is a cross-disciplinary unit designed to help students explore plant science through observation, experimentation, and historical context. Using familiar botanicals, students study extraction, states of matter, pigments, and controlled variables while connecting traditional practices to modern scientific thinking.

Designed for Grades 5–8 and adaptable for different learning environments, ages and family-style learning. Available as a digital curriculum or bundled with optional hands-on materials.

This unit study was developed in our own home and tested alongside my 13-year-old son, who helped refine instructions and suggest improvements. It was built for real families and flexible, family-style learning.
